SOAVE was just added to the shop!! there is no header pic for it quite yet but its there and ready for new homes!!! Gorgeous sock weight yarn 80% Superwash Merino , 10% nylon, 10 % CASHMERE! Luxury yarn at a great price!!!

Some new Merlot Twist was also added to the shop just in time for the Twist Collective launch. Take a look at the pattern that uses Merlot Twist. Its called VYM by Rebekah Kerner. A totally cute sock pattern dying to be tried out in different color combinations! I’ll be giving this one a shot myself!! I’m thinking of these two :

I have decided we’re in dire need of a picture. When I had that thought, all of a sudden -WHAM-email in my inbox with the CUTEST BOOTIES EVAR

Soooo sweet!!! They’re made with Merlot DK in the Joy colorway!! SO CUTE

She also sent a picture of the blanket she made!!!

This wonderful baby blanket was made using Merlot Twist in Blush, Merlot DK in Tropical Smoothie and in Joy. Lucky baby!!

Speaking of Merlot DK, Guess whats being added to the shop this weekend?

Hello YarnWorld!!

Its been a little while hasnt it? Things have been busy here dying more and more yarn and fiber and then the garage roof leak problem ( goodbye stuff :’( sniff ) but I’m slowly getting back on track and next week there will be UPDATES GALORE!!! Merlot, Merlot Twist, Chianti Top, Merlot Top, Cabernet Top, and some limited time only Merlot Taste treat - A neat two ply Superwash merino heavy fingering weight yarn ! It’s soft, it’s squoosy, it’s washable and its great for almost anything!!

Check back next week I’ll post again when new stuff goes up!

Holiday Shipping delays

Hey all! Just a heads up that I will be away from the shop from the 19th to the 3rd for a much needed holiday vacation! All orders placed during that time will be shipped on the 4th! Sock and yarn club memberships will remain open until slots are filled as per usual. All orders placed on and before the 18th will be shipped the same day they are recieved!

( I must take a moment to complain that I will have NO snow for christmas -pout)

Hey all!!
As Gibsons being a sucess, I have decided to bring back an old favorite yarn base. MERLOT TWIST!!! This fingering weight Superwash Merino is spun from the same gorgeous merino as our regular Merlot Fingering, but with more twisty spin action for longer wear with socks! ( similar to louet gems or CTH supersock). At approx 400 yards per 100g, its got plenty yardage for the average womans size socks! It should be arriving any day early next week!

Also, at Gibsons Fiber Festival we introduced a new yarn- Cabernet Sauvignon fingering. 100 % Superwash Blue Faced Leicester yarn and all I can say is SQUOoOOOOSHY! 422 yards/100 grams perfect for everything from socks to shawls. mmmmmm!This yarn will be listed on the site tomorrow ( Thursday Sept 3) at around noon- 1 pm.

For those who knit along with the Semi Solid Socks group on Ravelry.com, the blue colorways have been added to Zinfandel fingering and to Shiraz as well. Please note that some of the colorways have already sold out. I have ordered more and they will be arriving shortly as early as the beginning of next week so I am taking “custom orders”. I will notify those who have ordered the blue colorways when the yarn arrives, and when it is ready to be shipped out. Yarn should get to you before the KAL starts in October!The new Cabernet Sauvignon AND the returning Merlot Twist will be available for this option as well as soon as I get it up and running on the site. You can also email in your order request.

… and this heat wave is KILLING ME!! I do rather believe that this is the LONGEST heatwave in BC history. With temperatures of 35-40 celsius young children and the elderly are being advised to STAY INDOORS. Everyone else must do the whole sunblock- t shirt -hat -tons o water thing. I want out.

On fiberly notes- An update of Merlot Fingering has been done! Gorgeous semi solid colorways and a few variegated colorways too!!

OH and Aluzja finally done up in Merlot ! This yarn just shines with color in a way that I cant begin to describe..cant even take a picture good enough to see this lovely color..but- HERE~!!

Sorry for the lack of writing dudes and dudettes ( hee hee hee) things have been VERY hectic around here!!

First off, couple of announcements! For those going to Sock Summit August 6-9 in Portland Oregon, yarn will be be there!!! Merlot fingering , Shiraz sock and possibly Zinfandel will be joining the sock crazed awesomeness in the marketplace!!! Once I find out if I can post the booth number I will let you know so you can seek out some yarny yummness!

Gibsons Fiber Festival is coming up fast as well in August from the 19th to the 22nd in gorgeous Gibsons British Columbia ! We will have our booth at the Marketplace which runs from the 20th to the 22nd. This year is the 10th anniversary of the festival! There are events EVERYWHERE in the town including workshops , tours and the marketplace! Check out the link for more information! We are looking forward to seeing you there!

For everyone who is on Ravelry there is a Solid Socks group that does a knit along with a different semi solid or solid colored pair every month! There are prizes and sponser Indie dyers who donate prizes and offer discounts on semi solid and solid colorways for the month! This round ( each round lasts a year with a different color every month) , I will be the sponsor dyer for October and that months designated color is BLUES!!! We have a few beautiful blues and more that I am working on ( I will post pics of the new ones on here as well when they are ready, I promise). I have also donated a skein of yarn, a project bag, and a set of stitch markers for prizes for this round as well! I will post the discount on the group and on here at the beginning of September with the code required to redeem it.
